Cookie Policy
Last updated: April 7, 2026
1. About This Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Vision Lab, Inc. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on thveisionlab.com and the Vision Lab platform (together, the "Service"). It supplements our Privacy Policy.
Vision Lab is an AI-assisted video labeling and training-data service for robotics teams. Cookies on thveisionlab.com help us run the marketing site; cookies in the Vision Lab platform help us maintain your session, remember project preferences, and understand how engineering teams interact with the annotation workflow.
2. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow us to recognize your device, store preferences, and measure usage. We also use related technologies such as local storage to retain session state and banner-dismissal choices across page loads.
3. How We Use Cookies
| Category | Examples | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | session token, CSRF protection, cookie-banner dismissal state | session to 12 months |
| Preferences | project-view settings, export format last used | up to 12 months |
| Analytics | self-hosted analytics, anonymised page-view counts and session flow | up to 13 months |
| Marketing | not currently used | N/A |
4. Notice and Choice
By continuing to use the Service, you consent to our use of cookies as described above. You can opt out of analytics cookies through our cookie banner (which appears on your first visit) or by configuring your browser to block cookies. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled without breaking core platform functionality such as session authentication.
5. Universal Opt-Out Signals
Where applicable state law requires (for example, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and Oregon), we honor browser-transmitted opt-out signals such as the Global Privacy Control ("GPC") for sale and targeted-advertising categories. When we detect a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale or sharing for that browser or device, consistent with our California disclosures in the Privacy Policy.
6. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies may be set by third parties acting as our service providers (for example, anonymised analytics infrastructure). We have agreements with such providers limiting their use of data collected on our behalf to providing the contracted service. We do not permit advertising networks to set cookies on the Service.
7. Managing Cookies
- Use our cookie banner to opt out of analytics cookies. You can reopen the banner at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer.
- Browser settings allow you to block or delete cookies; see aboutcookies.org for per-browser instructions. Blocking all cookies will prevent Vision Lab platform login.
8. Changes and Contact
We may update this Policy when we change our analytics or session tooling. The "Last updated" date will reflect any change.
